CMV Capital (Proprietary) Limited (“CMV Capital”) is offering an opportunity that will enable investors to protect their initial capital investment while enjoying regular income, reduced tax rates and at returns superior to those of traditional money market or dividend income funds. WHAT IS THE PRODUCT?

CMV Capital Redeemable Cumulative Preference Shares represent partial ownership in a company. These shares pay monthly dividends, which are exempt from income tax in terms of the current taxation law, but subject to a 15% withholding tax for individuals and trusts (withholding tax is not applicable to Companies and Close Corporations). While investors enjoy monthly dividend distributions, they are also assured of zero erosion to their initial capital outlay. OBJECTIVES, BENEFITS AND TARGET MARKET

CAPITAL GUARANTEED

The investor’s capital is guaranteed by the property development company.

CMV Capital owns 20% of the property development company and an additional 70% of the shareholding of the property development company has been pledged to CMV Capital as security for the investment.

COMPLIANCE OFFICER

To ensure that CMV Capital complies with the requirements of the relevant legislation, Pieter Wiese has been appointed as the independent compliance officer for CMV Capital. His duties include an initial risk assessment of the investment product and thereafter the steady assessment of the investment committee’s application of funds and compliance with agreed policies and investment mandates.

Pieter Wiese is a Chartered Accountant and has more than 6 years of investment analysis experience for local and international investors.
